MEET YOUR NEW FOOD BANK
Cut the ribbon and raise the curtain!
Tomorrow (09-06-2017) morning at 10am, the Coastal Bend Food Bank will reveal a new name and a new logo. The Coastal Bend Food Bank was founded in 1982, and what better way to celebrate a 35th birthday than with a makeover. It’s a new name, but the same mission: To reduce hunger in South Texas through food distribution and nutrition education.
September is National Hunger Action Month. Join us, along with Feeding America and the entire Food Bank network, to find solutions to the hunger crisis in America. Immediately following the rebranding ceremony, “Celebrity Volunteers” will take off their jackets and step up to pack Pantry Boxes, filling them with donated food items. The boxes will then be loaded onto trucks and delivered to needy families, spreading word of the new image.
Please join us tomorrow at 10am for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration. And cake! The celebration will be held at the Food Bank Warehouse, located at 826 Krill Street, Corpus Christi, 78408.
The event is open to the public.
