Thank you to Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City of Corpus Christi for their unwavering support of CBFB. Their advocacy of our mission has been invaluable, and we truly appreciate their efforts. Mayor Guajardo has been a steadfast advocate and supporter of CBFB for a long time. During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, her tireless work and dedication were instrumental in gathering donations to provide food and supplies to our most vulnerable neighbors. She worked alongside our staff and volunteers at large mobile distributions, and we cannot thank her enough for her hard work. We are immensely grateful for her recognition of the Coastal Bend Food Bank at the State of the City and her declaration of continued support from the City of Corpus Christi highlighting the construction of our new facility scheduled for completion in the fall of 2023. Our new facility will enable us to better serve our neighbors’ needs by providing the community with nutritious food and nutrition education.
