On Thursday, October 25, 2018 the Coastal Bend Food Bank was one of several local organizations nominated and selected by Valero employees to receive a donation to go towards helping children in the Coastal Bend. Thank you to all the sponsors and Valero Benefit for Children for their generosity. The funding received will go towards the Kids Backpack Program that aims to provide children with nutritious food to take home for the weekend. Backpacks are filled with nutritious, child-friendly food and distributed on every Friday or before holiday vacations.
